  1. Hi, I'm not saying this helps in stability at all but prior to this change It would not boot/post with the default XMP settings for this ram and tried on various BIOS's for motherboard and settings and voltages and vccio etc and rarely it would sometimes boot, but once I restart it would get stuck again, now since I tried this change in fan profile it boots with no hitches and and for now everything seems stable after hours of Aida stability testing and hours of gaming. I had tried different timings at 3100mhz but with default XMP settings in Aida benchmarks performance is better, so yeah you are right setting fan speeds should not affect the ram to post but in this case it seems it does or just a coincidence
  2. I have 32gb of the CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 and could only get it to work at 3100mhz, I tried your suggestion and set the fans to turbo under qfan section in the BIOS and on first reset it got stuck on boot and thought it will not work again, I pressed reset and it tried to boot again and the fans were louder and finally it booted at 3200MHZ and its been working fine with no boot issues for the past two days till now. I ran the stress test on AIDA64 and the ram seems stable, also did some light gaming and is stable till now. The ram is set with the default XMP setting and I have also overclocked the 6700K to 4.5GZ. Thanks.
  3. Hi Guys, I had updated the bios to V702 and did not change much when running the ram with XMP profile at advertised speed it will not boot even after many tries and ram voltage changes, but I did some changes in the timings and at 3100mhz and V1.35 and got same benchmark speeds in AIDA 64 as I had at 3200 16-18-36-2, the timings are 14-14-35-1 and very stable and had them for some time now at least two months, I am now testing 14-14-34-1 and have higher bandwidth than at 3200, also in bios MCH check I disabled it, when applying these settings for first time in bios they might not stick immediately on first reboot but click on reset if stuck and next boot should be good and usually remains booting with these settings, sometimes it might not boot immediately but its rear.
  4. Hi, I assembled my PC last week and I also got the CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 for the motherboard Asus z170-ws and having issues to get the ram working at 3200MHZ I did succeed sometimes getting it to run at full speed but on reboot it gets stuck with q-code errors 41 or 55, at 3100 mHZ its more stable though, but still have boot issues sometimes and still need to do further testing to see at which speed its most stable. I asked for help to both Corsair and Asus, Corsair just pointed out that modules not in the Asus QVL list and that motherboard is not supported and Asus at first came with same reply, but I asked them if they will support the ram since there were no modules in list that are 16x2 and at 3000mhz or over and it seems they might look into it and fix hopefully, although I'm not holding my breath that it will be done any time soon if ever, the following is Asus replies: "Dear valued customer, Thank you for contacting the Asus support. The motherboard has tested from Asus only with the modules 16GB ( 2400Mhz ed 2133Mhz) included in the QVL list. Unfortunatelly, the motherboard has not tested with memories 16GB at high speeds of 3000mhz and over. We have asked information from the HQ if exist a BIOS beta version that can support the memories cmk32gx4m2b3200c16. The Greek Support will inform you as soon as possible. Best Regards - Asus Support " "Dear valued customer, Thank you for contacting the Asus support. Regarding the below described case, the Asus Greek support department has already requested from the responsible department of our HQ if a BETA bios version is available, however such a version was not available. We have forwarded the below correspondance to the responsible department of our HQ and requested for new BIOS versions to be developped that add more RAM modules (and if possible also your RAM modules) to the compatibility list of the motherboard. Please check the Asus website periodically for new BIOS versions. For information and Technical Support please try to contact the Greek Support at: 00800 44142044 ( TOLL FREE ) (not available from mobile phones and VoiP phones) (09am to 13pm - 14pm to 18pm, Monday to Friday). ( From Cyprus: 800 92491 )Email: support@asus.gr Best Regards - Asus Support" Well till now the experience with these modules/motherboard combination was not great and hopefully it will get solved, any tips would be appreciated although I tried quite a few things like changing cpu vccio/vccia and different ram voltages disabling MCH full check etc. Thanks
