Scimitar side buttons not working

I got my scimitar a couple weeks ago and registered because I got this problem with the buttons. This "solution" worked for me, thank you very much. I must be a glutton for punishment. This is the third corsair product that I have had major issues with (k70, m95), yet I keep buying them. I'll likely return it and get something else; I believe I am done with this company.
