  1. I don't aggree with you on a specific point. the word "guaranteed". In my opinion (and i guess for a lot of people) the RAM is branded and advertised to work at 3000/3200. So yes it's "guaranteed". Same for motherboards. it's branded and advertised to work even at 3466. so again it's "guaranteed" at 3000/3200. If it's not guaranteed, then manufacuters should not have the right to write it on the spec sheets. But again, money = money
  2. find another RAM from friend or whatever and test it. You'll see if it's working :)
  3. I'm wondering one thing. It's seems clear now that there is an issue with this range of module and hope that people who bought them could get a RMA. But will (or can) manufacturing process evolve and this be solved for future buyer ? In a schedule like weeks, months, ddr4 lifetime, half-life3,... (sorry if my english is not perfect :-) )
  4. Works as well for me with Patriot Viper 3000mhz on Asus z170 pro gaming. I'm still a little bit conviced that this is a corsair module issue as other users have same issue with different MB (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI), etc.. Or at least a Z170 chipset issue. But not specificaly linked with the "Asus z170 Pro gaming". We hear a lot about this MB, but i think it's just because it's the most common MB for gamer with little price. Not because she has more issue than other MB.
  5. About the cpu microcode update. Are you referring to this issue related to Prime95 ? http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2016/01/11/intel-skylake-crash-erratum/1 Edit: Also about your RAM issue, have you tried to tweak the RAM timings (3000mhz 15-17-17-35 --> 3000mhz 15-18-18-36 for example) As the second to fourth timings are less impacting performance than the first one, it may work without any performance lose. Edit2: Same for "Command rate" (2T instead of 1T). But it may be already at 2T by default. on my motherboard "Auto" choose 2T by default.
  6. On page 14 i gave my experience with my new I7 6700K PC Asus Pro gaming + 2x8 3000Mhz Patriot Viper with XMP works great. If it can help you. maybe i'm just lucky :)
  7. Hello guys, Just to add my fortunately good experience. I just bought a new i7 6700K + Asus pro gaming + 2x8 Patriot Viper 3000Mhz. It is working just perfectly with XMP profile. No boot or stability issue. I installed the latest BIOS 1105. Not tried with original one (0803). Firstly i had ordered Corsair 2x8 3000. But after seeing that post i decided to cancel and buy the next one in stock (Hesitated between Kingston and Patriot Viper). Feel bad for all of you. Hopefully Corsair will answer again on this post. :)
