  1. Finally works here. But shame on Asus, Corsair and Intel for putting customers through this $h1t
  2. Just tried the newest 1204 BIOS for Pro Gaming, as usual it does not work... But contrary to the other "updates" since 0908, I can now boot @2800. Alas Corsair sold the CMK8GX4M2B3000C15R as able to do 3000, so I am still not impressed. Also it is still only possible to reach 2800 by manually setting the speed, all attempts at enabling XMP will yield "failed to overclock".
  3. On a Z170 Pro Gaming and 2 kits of CMK8GX4M2B3000C15R, here. I tried latest Bios (1105), alas it did not really fix anything for me. Still impossible to reach the promised 3000Mhz, although with 1105 I can boot up with 2800Mhz, from there starts the random race of instabilities and crashes. So this is once again a big letdown. After reverting back to 0908, I can still run a stable system with 2800Mhz. But it's noteworthy to say that the auto voltage here on 2800Mhz is also quite high 1.52. It is possible to still run while enabling "EPU power saving", but the voltage however is unchanged. Even with countless messages (mail, facebook, twitter) and support tickets, I get absolutely no answer from Asus. It would be very good to get the latest status update from @Greybeard, grave silence makes me worried that also Corsair will abandon their customers.
  4. Hi I've been following this thread for a while and decided to chime in. Been in contact with both Corsair and Asus support, since I have the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming and 2 kits of Corsair CMK8GX4M2B3000C15. And ofcourse tons of issues with xmp stability. Corsair seem to be the jedis here whereas Asus support is arrogant and useless, to put it mildly even. I had problems with stock bios and thought it'd help with an upgrqade, so I flashed 1102 on. Did not help at all... After reading countless of posts everywhere on the web I was inspired by some who said that downgrading to various specific bios versions helped. So I tried from 0802 and onwards, results are that I cannot run with any combination of memory OC speed or timings in bios versions; stock, 0802, 0803 and 1102. Only 2133 SPD, 'cause it simply won't even boot. But with version 0908 I can run stable @ 2800, alas not with the recommended voltage of 1.35 it has to be 1.5 instead, or again it won't boot. But timings are just like Corsair say they shuold be. I did notice though that I could run @3000 if I downclocked the BCLK to 97, but that is simply stupid as it acutally slowed the rest of the system down. So please do tell Asus that with 1102 they just aren't trying hard enough.
