Okay, so I was feeling over-confident and reversed my workarounds. The mouse failed on me tonight, so the software update didn't fix it, it was the workarounds. I really hope this gets fixed soon. Amazon has a generous holiday return policy which is the only reason I haven't returned it yet. But the days are ticking down...

Okay so new software was released today. Also I applied some changes to see if it helped: 1) Solid color on both default and game profile. 2) Lighting set to off under 'Device' 3) 'Default to standard lightning mode' unchecked under Program. 4) Poll rate of 500mhz. I've been playing a game for about 4 hours now and it hasn't crashed one me yet, which is a record. Fingers crossed it'll stay that way. If I don't have any problems for the next couple days I'll try reversing my workarounds and seeing if it was the software update that worked. Do we know if the software update tried to address this issue? Can Corsair Henry tell us?

I've tried both disabling lighting and using solid colors, still crashes on me :/

I've noticed the mouse seems to die on me if I'm using the side buttons more often (gaming), whereas it'll keep working if I'm just doing regular desktop stuff. Anyone else notice that? Also the mouse died on me twice during a game causing my team to fail :( I have to play with a regular mouse now. Very sad.

I tried disabling all lighting, and also just using a solid color. Neither of these have worked. By the way I'm on Windows 7 (some people were speculating it was a Windows 10 issue).

I am also having this issue. The cursor will stutter, and no mouse buttons will work, and I have to unplug-replug it in. I'm still within my 30 day return window and seriously considering returning it... Just now I've gone to Settings -> Device -> Disable Device Lightning to see if that stops the problems. Although I hate not having the lighting, but the mouse dying in the middle of a game is totally unacceptable.
