Yupster_2501 Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Just wanted to share something I just found with the combination of the Asus Rampage III Formula Motherboard & Corsairs CMP12GX3M3A1600C9 12GB Kit. Up until today I've had it running at manual timing of 1333Mhz 8-8-8-24-CR1 as the XMP timings for 1600Mhz would make the board only see 8GB or sometimes 4GB, then I saw in a forum somewhere (the Asus forums i think) they just set the Row Refresh Cycle Time or tRFC to 88, i did likewise after enabling the XMP settings, the default tRFC was 72, now the board see's all 12gb and I ran 15 passes of intel burn test with success!! More testing is needed but this might be something worth trying with all the issues others are having with large memory kits and being unable to run at 1600mhz. I did try as others suggested upping the QPI voltage and other tweaks but none worked, so just apply the XMP setting and upping the tRFC to 88 or higher. :laughing: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
