L3TUC3
Dear all, I've recently been running a corsair TW3X4G1333C9A kit on a Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 motherboard. I've been unhappy with the performance as well as stability. Since installing the system, there's been the odd bsod, the performance seems rather slow compared to my old PC and very often the system will hang while performing simple tasks (browsing, windows explorer etc). Games generally run good, but load sluggish. The RAM speeds are on stock 9-9-9-24, same as voltages (bios puts it on 1.5v). Running Memtest+ gives varied results. After a few passes there's a couple of errors but they seem inconsistent. 1 out of 3 cycles will fail with 1 or 2 errors. Is there anything I should check before returning the sticks to the retailer? trackrat
You could check to make sure the memory is running at a frequency of 1333, i.e. 666 x 2 and also see if 1.6V and or 2T timing eliminates any errors. The system speed will not change much unless you have massive memory errors. I'm running a 965 BE on the same Mobo with CMP4GX3M2B1600C8 and it's completely stable and fast. ritaylor
There should not be any errors on memtest. Go ahead and return them.
