mdanciu Posted January 18, 2010 Share Posted January 18, 2010 Hello, I've replaced the existing memory modules with two new modules VS512SDS333 and the system would not even POST. After browsing the threads here, I've tried all the suggested steps to eventually make the BIOS recognizing the new memory modules. As somebody else here, I had one PC2700 and one PC2100 working together without any issue (when I first upgraded the system, years ago. the sales rep gave me a PC2700 module saying that it would work and he was right). Is there a way to make the system to recognize memory VS512SDS333? Thank you. Compaq 2581US, Intel Pentium 4, XP Home SP3, BIOS updated with the latest version from HP website.
