backdoc77 Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Here is the problem: I get random "Black Screen Crashes". The Monitor goes black and the computer crashes with looping audio. The fans and lights are on in the case, but the computer will not respond. The problem started when I upgraded to a new GTX 285 video card. The problem occurs during some games (world of warcraft) and also during 2D operations (starting programs or just randomly at idle) I leave my computer on 24/7 and it will usually always crash during the night. When I put my old video card back (GTX9800) everything works fine with no problems. I have replaced the GTX 285 three times and all three black screen. Could this be a power supply issue?
