brian52799 Posted April 26, 2004 Share Posted April 26, 2004 im buying corsair ram for my board its a abit kv8-max3 i want to get as much ram as i can until i seen some of the prices 1 stick of 512 is around 140 on the net so i seen 2 sticks for about 170 is that a good price or can i get cheaper its 2 sticks of 256 corsair twinx512-3200LLpt i think i need 2 sticks to make dual 400mhz in slots 1 and 3 i just want to get it running need alot of parts still i'll add more ram later can anybody tell me if this the right ram for this board and if i can get it cheaper thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Robolf Posted April 26, 2004 Share Posted April 26, 2004 KV8 - Max 3 is a single channel board so NO dual channel. Would recommend getting a single module of 512MB then if you want to upgrade to 1GB get another of the same. This board will only support 2 Double Sided Dimms at DDR400. With all this in mind i would by either 512MB 3200LL , or the TwinX1024 3200LL. (pro or non pro choice is yours) These are THE best modules for your board.
