ponmak
I just got my new RAM today from Newegg. After installing them into my MBP, it works fine. Then I ran the xbench to check how my MBP should perform after using the low latency memory. The score for the memory increases, however, some of the other sections decrease! especially for the Quartz Graphics Test and the Disk Test. as you can see in the pictures below: the top picture is the one with original 2X1G RAM http://benyouhui.it168.com/attachments/month_0811/20081105_4537cf074ad61514130cumZU5DXe0pUQ.png the bottom one is using the VSA4GSDSKIT667C4 http://benyouhui.it168.com/attachments/month_0811/20081105_8ac1f03e100717ba41be8Le8bgpRyQoJ.png Any idea of why it performs this way? Legend
I have used XBench myself and the scores are not very consistent. It is better to run the test one at a time, CPU, memory, graphics. Also it is important that after you have installed the new RAM to reboot one time before running benchmarks.
