Also, I have 2 empty RAM slots on my mobo. So i will effectively be going from 512 RAM to 1.5 gigs. I can mix the 2, right? or will bad and scary things happen? RJLeong65
First off, it's not recommended to mix different memory modules - not even different sizes of the same model. Your system may fail to POST, or may suffer from major stability issues down the road. Second, the CMX1024-3200 series module will work, but with your CPU you will have to set the following speeds and timings manually to DDR333 (166MHz) and CAS 2.5-3-3-7 in the BIOS if it doesn't automatically default to those settings. (Your A7V333 should autodetect the correct settings of DDR333/166MHz/PC2700 and 2.5-3-3-7 timings if the particular module that you selected is programmed for both DDR333 and DDR400 operation in its SPD chip, since that motherboard officially supports only up to DDR333/PC2700 memory.)
