I have the above motherboard with 2gb, had set memory timings, got 2gb more and installed it and then bios didnt like it, beeping with memory errors, set it back to auto settings and the 4gb was detected. However when set to auto the settings are completely different, can anyone help with what the settings should be? Auto Memclock 333Mhz TCL 2.5 TRAS 5 TRCD 3 TRP 3 TRC 10 TRFC 11 TRWT 4 TWR 3 1T/2T Memory Timing 2T This is normal when you transition from 2 X 1024 to 4 X 1024. Motherboards and the BIOS's/chipsets are not optimized for 4GB yet and so the bandwidth 400 --> 333Mhz usually has to be lowered and the timings have to be raised. I would personally leave them on Auto as the timings are still rather tight so you are doing well actually. You will need to keep the Command Rate (1T/2T Memory Timing) at 2T as Athlon64 systems with 4 sticks must use the 2T Command Rate. If you wish, you can always run Memtest ( http://www.memtest.org) and lower the timings and test but I would leave them at Auto since they are still pretty tight timings.
