Deven
AMD 64 X2 4400+ Asus A8N-VM CSM Enermax Liberty 400W PS eVGA GeForce 7800 GT CPU-z is seeing 200MHz 3-3-3-8 What settings can this memory support with this motherboard ? Memclock Value: 100MHz CAS Latency: Auto TRAS: Auto TRP: Auto TRCD: Auto TRRD: Auto TRC: Auto TRFC: Auto TRWT: Auto Read Preamble: 9.5 ns Async Latency; 11.0 ns CMD-ADD Timing Mode: 2T Bank Interleaving: Auto Burst Length: 4 beats HardWare Memory Hole: Disabled Thanks for any help on this. I appreciate this forum and hope this information is enough. Let me know if I'm missing something. Deven
RJLeong65
You will need to set the timings manually in order to get the advertised/tested 2-3-3-6 timings. Here are the settings to use: Memclock Value: 200MHz CAS Latency: 2.0 TRAS: 6 CLK TRP: 3 CLK TRCD: 3 CLK TRRD: Auto TRC: 9T TRFC: 12T TRWT: Auto Read Preamble: 9.5 ns Async Latency; 11.0 ns CMD-ADD Timing Mode: 1T Bank Interleaving: Auto Burst Length: 4 beats HardWare Memory Hole: Disabled These values assume that you can adjust the DDR DIMM voltage to at least 2.70V. But if you cannot manually set the DDR DIMM voltage at all with your motherboard, then I would leave everything set on Auto or the "optimized" BIOS defaults if you must use those modules. (Remember, I'd recommend the XMS series memory only if you can manually adjust the DDR DIMM voltage to at least 2.70V. If you can't, then your memory would be running at between 2.50V and 2.60V - a bit too low to run the XMS series modules at their advertised/tested timings.) If you really cannot manually set the DIMM voltage, then I would recommend the Value Select VS2GBKIT400C3 kit instead of the TWINX2048-3200C2(PT/PRO) kit.
