EvilBanana Posted February 6, 2006 Share Posted February 6, 2006 I have an HP Pavilion zv5240ca notebook that came with 512MB (2x256) of RAM. I recently replaced one of these modules with a Corsair PC2700 1024MB module and since then my computer has been crashing randomly. Blue screen and then reboot. It doesn't seem to matter what I am doing, sometimes just browsing the net, other times watching movies or playing games, somtimes it will go all day without crashing. I ran Memtest for several hours (6 full passes) and it did not detect any errors. Could the problem be an issue with RAM timing? I am at a loss, but I am sure the problem is related to the new RAM as everything was working perfectly before the switch. Any help is appreciated.
