skornel
I have an Asus P4P800 MOBO with 2.8 GHZ Intel. I am not overclocking anything. Just plain vanilla for over 2 years. I have been running with 512MB as a pair of Corsair CMX256-3200LLPT TWINX. 2326-T1 is printed on label. The MOBO uses unregistered unbuffered memory. Today I purchased 1 MB as a pair of Corsair CMX512-3200C2PT. When I put the new memory into the empty slots and power up, the system says "System failure. CPU Overclock". Wrong !! all I did was plug this RAM in. So I remove my old memory from the first pair of slots and put the new RAM in without my old stuff and it boots up fine. Then I put the old RAM into the second pair of slots and again "System failure. CPU Overclock" Wrong again!! Well I'm back to using only the new RAM but I want to continue to use my old RAM too. Any suggestions?
