Assigning a key from a different keyboard layout to a G key

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I have a K95 RGB Platinum and I am using iCUE version 5.14.93.

My keyboard layout is Italian.

What I would like to do is to map the ~ key from the US layout keyboard to one of the G keys of my keyboard.

Also, the same key from the UK keyboard works as well.

This is because I would like to be able to trigger the developer console from games and engines like Unreal for working reasons.

If I change the layout of my keyboard from windows, I am not able to trigger the consoles.

Is there any way to make sure that a G key will actually mimic the actual hardware code for the ~ symbol? In all honesty, I am not entirely sure why if I change my keyboard layout that doesn't work... I supposed that it is because that key on a US/UK keyboard has a different hardware interrupt than the same key (or any other key actually... I tried all of them) on the Italian layouted keyboard.

In order to fix this issue, I was also thinking about buying one of those programmable 3 keys buttons but I would be happier if I can solve the issue just using my keyboard and the iCUE software !!!  🙂

Thank you very much for your help.
