I am going to add waterblock to gpu and use corsair parts.  I am going to side mount 360 radiator was wondering if it matters which way the rad mounts,ei fittings up top or on the bottom.  i will use combo D5 pump/res and only GPU in the loop.

It's not critical either way and most often the exact physical space available or desired tubing path will force you one way or another.  In big loops or with very tall vertical 480 or 560mm radiators you need to be a bit more conscious of how much air can get trapped in the top of the radiator.  In this application, it won't matter and you likely do not need a T-valve to bleed air out of the top.  I would choose the way that fits your overall plan.
