Dark Core SE not connecting or turning on both over USB or wireless

So I've had a Dark Core SE for a few years now with no issues, but in recent months it has started to turn off while wired, but work wirelessly. This was fine enough but now it doesn't seem to charge or even connect to my pc while connected over usb or connect wirelessly with the receiver. I used to be able to follow the reset instructions of holding down the forward and back buttons while power cycling to get it to work but now it flashes red once and turns off again. Not sure what else to do to try to get it to connect properly or even turn on for that matter. Any help apricated, thanks.
