5000T FULL FAN SPEED

I just bought a corsair 5000T case, everything looks great but the only issue that I have is the fans are running at full speed, even in quiet mode, and it is really loud, the only way to solve the issue is by turning the ICUE software off. Any ideas what causing the fans run at full speed almost all the time?

You need to get off the three presets.  They are not low, medium, high switches and typically will use CPU temp as a control variable and thus the elevated speeds.  The good news is you're already half way to the solution.  The 2 temp probes on the XT are the native control source and work at all times, software running or not.  You only need to create a custom curve for one of them.

 

1) Commander XT cooling tab, click + to create a new curve.  Graph will appear below.

2) Go to the three shape tools in the lower right corner.  Click the second one from the left.  This is the Quiet fan curve for AIOs, but since your baseline looks to be about the same it will work great for this as well.  You can now see and edit data points.

3) Change the sensor choice to Commander XT Temp 1 or 2.  The one near the rear exhaust is usually the best, but either works.

4) Apply the new fan curve to all your fans.

 

The AIO quiet curve has a baseline of 31C will a ramp up as temp go to 40C.  You can tailor this as needed, but it might be pretty close for general gaming.  Fan should now be smooth and predictable and that curve will hold with or without CUE, no save to device required.

Thank you for the reply, now it works so much better without the 4 noisy case fans. I have the iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler for the CPU and what if I'm just using the case 4 Cooling presets (Quiet, Balanced, Extreme, Zero rpm) is that means it will only use the CPU temp and you cant change it until you create a custom curve? and that is why the case fans are runing at full speed becasue the cooling methodas well?

OK, I assumed that was the XT in control since it was a 5000T.  The Commander Core for the Elite AIO is the sibling controller, but there is a key difference for this.  Rather than use a temp probe, you can use the H150i Elite Temp (coolant temperature) for fan control.  This is what is should use natively.  However, just like above it makes more sense to make a custom curve even if you don't plan to change a thing.  With the custom curve you can see the data points and a helpful vertical graph line to mark the current temp state.  The only difference is change the sensor choice to H150i Elite Temp instead.  Coolant temp and case ambient temp are going to be closely related and nearly the same most of the time.  Only in heavy CPU only, no GPU scenarios will you the coolant temp move markedly above the case ambient.

I'm also having a similar problem where I am unable to control the fan speed of my three LL RBG fans and three QL RGB fans with iCue via the Commander Core XT that came with my 5000T case. I've looked at other forums and have set a custom fan curve but even if I set the curve to 0 RPM at 70° (reguardless of what sensor I pic) the fan speed stays at max for each fan.
