K57 Macro keys not working well at all

I wanted to set up a macro to record gaming clips quickly. I used the Icue software to program the G1 key to intput "Windows key + Alt + G to record clips. When I press the button, the command will execute just fine but then constantly inputs the letter "g" in a continuous unusable fashion. I turned off the keyboard but it would still input. I pulled the dongle out, still inputting. I have to force restart to make it work. Any ideas what's wrong? As I write this post I realized that when I input the keys, the overlay pulls up so maybe the program is not recording to let go of the G key? If that is the case I dont know how to program releasing the buttons though.  Im pretty new to all this stuff so Im not sure where to start
