bigjimmyauk Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 CM4X16GE2666C16K4 and CM4X16GE2666C16K8 long story short currently have 32gb (2x16GB of the k4) and want to upgrade to 64GB the only similar thing i can source is the K8 version , specs are identical in every way i just can't figure out what the difference between k4 and k8 is. the reason for upgrade was i sold my 4x4gb to get 32gb but made a boo boo and went from quad channel to dual channel on X99 and i've lost a lot of performance so want to gain this back by going back to quad with also more ram. this saves me having to sell the current 32gb dual just to buy a 32gb quad kit all i can find out is that the ram is for system builders/OEM hence i can only locate this kit through a dedicated computer shop and it's special order only many thanks, any questions just fire away, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
