MattDralle
I just built a new system in a Corsair Obsidian 1000D with an ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME ENCORE and i9 18-core CPU and 128GB RAM. I was disappointed to discover that there was no accommodation for CDROM drives in the Obsidian 1000D, as I need 5 DVD drives for disc duplication. I used Autocad Fusion 360 to 3D design brackets that bolt to the upper sliding shelf in the 1000D. They mount the drives at a slight forward angle so the discs are easier to get out. All you have to do is open the right-hand door about 45 degrees to get access to all 5 drives with the drawers opened. Pretty cool. I printed the parts on a Makerbot Replicator II 3D printer using Black PLA filament. No supports really necessary. I am very happy with the setup and it serves my needs well. I can provide the .stl file if you want to print some for yourself. Matt Dralle
