ToTheC
I just purchased an ASUS K8N-E Deluxe mobo and am trying to decide which Corsair modules (2@512MB) to purchase. Per ASUS, they state in the mobo manual that they recommend only the TWINX1024-3200C2 modules (in the 2@512MB configuration); however, the Corsair compatibility guide shows that the TWINX1024-3200C2PT will work as well. The best I can determine from all I've read is the only difference between the 2 modules is the TWINX1024-3200C2 have black heat spreaders and the TWINX1024-3200C2PT have platinum heat spreaders. Please advise whether or not this is correct. If so, is one heat spreader better than the other? If not, what other differences exist that I need to consider before purchasing these modules? Thanks! CMC_SAVAGE
No difference between the C2 and C2PT. I'd personally go with the 3200XL's.
