Can't get the 460x's SP120 RGB fans to light up

Hey all,

I just bought the Corsair Crystal 460X RGB and I love it. The only thing is I can't seem to get the included SP120 RGB fans to light up.

I know they come with two connectors, one that goes to the motherboard for the fan itself, and the other that goes to the included fan hub/lighting controller (Which is pre-wired, by the looks of it) and powered by Sata.

Instead of plugging the fans into separate motherboard headers (I didn't have enough), I used a Phanteks fan hub for them (Can't see why this would make a difference, as I didn't touch the lighting controller).

The fans spin and I can control their speed and all that no problem, but they just don't light up. Any help?

EDIT: After trying with a different SATA cable entirely, it works! Since it was the only thing plugged into that cable, I'll assume that the cable is a dud. Disaster averted! :)
