Kaskanter Posted June 21, 2016 Share Posted June 21, 2016 Hi folks, I had the 800W PSU on my HP XW8600 dual xeon machine failing the other day. Without knowing too much about them, I brought home a CX850M. After installing, the machine does not start at all, but beeps instead. No fans nothing. The warning beeps indicate a power issue. Reading a bit more it seems that it is not compatible to an ATX PSU, but some other stuff like EPS SSI? Is there one that will work with this machine? red-ray Posted June 21, 2016 Share Posted June 21, 2016 I suspect the HP XW8600 needs a special PSU and no generic PSU such as the CX850M will work. I guess your best option is to look on eBay where I found http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181751018502.
