Request Keyboard Profiles Here (courtesy of Krazykid)

Recommended Posts

Hi! I'm wondering if you could possibly create the widely known 'MegaRainbow' as a sort of screensaver for the keyboard. What I mean is when the keyboard isn't in use it has the rainbow but if a key is pressed it reverts to a solid blue color. I'm sure this isn't all too difficult to do but the software is kind of daunting and seems to have a fairly steep learning curve.

Thanks!

You want an afk function basically? Ye someone asked that awhile ago and its not possible.

Welp, I've looked everywhere and couldn't find a thing. I tried to figure it out and I guess I'm too Dain Bramaged for this.

What I wanted to do was a permanent Ripple pattern that starts from the Down Arrow and spreads out from there. If you want to visualize what I mean. Take a blank template, add Type Lighting (multiple keys), then make it a ripple pattern with 4 Tails Cyan. Then hit the Down arrow once every second. That's the general effect I'm trying to go for.

The problem I'm facing is that there seems to be no way to centralize what button you want the ripple pattern to start from.

Any suggestions and any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

You are right, there is no way to do this with the software atm, i hope in future versions you are able to pick the key you want the ripple to start from.

Krazykid, can you do a profile where the top 2 rows (The F keys and # keys) intermittently flash like a cloud about to send lightning down, and after that there is like a lightning strike from the top to bottom? There is a profile like that called lighting, but you have to press keys to make it happen. I want a profile that does it automatically. Its a really cool effect.

Schwitz already made thunderstorm profiles, he has two variations

They usually play with the 3 factions colors (blue red green), mixing pop colors or dark ones. I play Illuminati faction (the last picture, blue pyramid), if that can help :)

Hi,

I'm a programmer, and I often use an editor called VIM. VIM is a complex text editor that have a lot of shortcuts and you can do almost everything you want to text in a lot of ways (for more info http://www.vim.org/)

I'd like a profile on my k70 RGB that highlights the shortcuts while I'm working :)

for help, please check this cheat sheet:

http://www.viemu.com/vi-vim-cheat-sheet.gif

There are two modes into vim controls:

normal mode (the green "motion" mode in the cheat sheet): when you're not inserting a text (that will be the default colored keys when I'm not doing anything)

Command mode (the yellow "command" mode in the cheat sheet): that happens when I'm holding down the Ctrl key.

I think the profile is a bit straight forward. only color the green keys in the cheat sheet when nothing is pressed. and only light the yellow keys in the cheat sheet when I'm holding Ctrl.

you're free to put any of the background colors you want for other keys :)

Thank you very much :)

make one for Sivir pleeeease! :D

I think... maybe like a centered illuminati pyramid , glowing, with some dark background around it (like some random flashes of thunder around), I think you have room from spacebar up to f5 something like that.

You should make one with bombs exploding with like a wick or something

Like maybe it would show a bomb and whenever you type it blows it up across the whole keyboard or its like a timer or something.

ive tried to make your idea in my own project before, didn't turn out like planned. although someone gave me an interesting idea to make it look like airplanes are flying over the keyboard and a bombs explode "under" it. and it has type lighting explosions when you tap an area. looks neat. you can check it out here:

Its request #28

Is there any possible way to recreate the glowing lights shown in the first 4 seconds of this episode from Clannad (Below) for the K95RGB? It would be much appreciated.

KrazyKid, thank you for all your quality work.

Do you think you would be interested in creating a fireplace/glowing ember profile? Judging by your past work, this may be a variation of theme on your red colored corrosive profile.

I think keyboards naturally lend themselves well to this type of profile due to their segmented and block-like appearance.

[ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7wPTvplW3U][link to youtube video][/ame]Above is a youtube video of another's creation (who doesn't provide a link to his profile). It's hard for me to gauge in the video if his "glowing" effect is random and varied enough to simulate what you may find with actual embers, but I like how a button press stokes the fire; transitioning from "hot white" to "flame yellow" and eventually back to "dark red glowing".

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions. Thanks!
