guito Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Hello! I'm trying to upgrade the memory in my PC, but it's not working. After installing the new memories, BIOS read the full 8GB. Then the computer goes into BlueScreen RebootCycle as soon as the "loading windows" screen appear. --The computer is a HP Compaq 8100 elite convertible MiniTower --Intel Core i5 650 @3.20 GHZ --4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 531MHz (7-7-7-20) --Hewlett-Packard 304Bh (XU1 PROCESSOR) --931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA) I'm trying to install the Corsair 2x4GB (8GB) VENGEANCE-LP 1600MHz DDR3. When I go back to my old RAM, everything run fine. I went to HP site, it shows the MAX RAM supported is 16GB Not sure what's the issue? Thanks!
