Perhaps even a hardware utility with a read-only firmware itself so that it could safely reflash the firmware without getting infected itself? I wonder if, say, Corsair products could have locked firmwares that could only be unlocked using a "firmware update dongle" that you plug into your thumb drive, then plug into your computer? Just thought I'd start some conversation. :D: Or just a simple utility to validate the firmware on an USB stick, to see if it's been changed.
