ktiqs
This is my first build so excuse the noob question. I have 6 Ql120's. 1 lighting node core but no commander pro. My mobo has 6 fan headers and one of them is taken up by my NZXT X73 AIO. This leaves one fan unconnected. Can I safely use 3 to 1 fan splitters to connect my fans to the mobo headers? (also to cut down the amount of wires connected to the headers) Also would this compromise fan performance in any way? Or in this situation, would a commander pro be the option I should go with. Infin1tum
Each fan header on your Mobo has a specific amperage rating - should be listed in your manual. As long as you don't exceed that limit, you can connect as many fans as you want. Typically it's 1A and QL120s are rated at 0,3A so theoretically you could connect 3 but I wouldn't do more than 2 per header.
