Bwani
Hello guys, I will be switching to the latest generation of WiFi routers (WiFi 6 - ax) soon. I would like to leverage it on my Corsair one first gen. Is it possible to update it through software? Or is it possible to upgrade the network controller through hardware? Any input is appreciated. Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted August 20, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 20, 2019 It'd require a hardware upgrade. The WiFi module on the first generation CORSAIR ONE systems sits in the motherboard, close to the rear IO. I believe you'll have to remove the motherboard to get access to it due to the placement of screws securing the module in place. WiFi 6 compatible parts like the AX200 should work fine and would require reinstalling BT and WiFi drivers after physical installation.
