ginomassei
Hi guys, i really need some help. I have tested my memories with memtest86 without DOCP profile, and they passed 100% without errors. But when i turn DOCP on, my PC won´t post. I have the Corsair Vengeance cmk16gx4m2b3000c15 AMD Ryzen 7 1700x Asus prime x 370 pro. Should i overclock manually? Thanks
emissary42
DOCP is just a workaround to enable the use of XMP on AMD platforms that do not natively support Intel Extreme Memory Profiles. It works pretty well with some kits, not so good with others and the DRAM ICs used on a specific kit can also play a role in that. If DOCP fails and you don't want to run your memory at lower frequency, then manual overclocking is the way to go. That is when tools like Thaiphoon Burner, Ryzen Timing Checker and DRAM Calculator for Ryzen come in handy. Also make sure that the modules are seated in the recommended slots, usually A2+B2 on ASUS boards.
