maderas
So, I just noticed my 2 year old computer has been running my RAM at 1333mhz instead of 1600mhz. This is easy to fix by forcing the frequency via BIOS, but I can't seem to adjust the DRAM voltage unless I also disable autotuning for the CPU as well - something I'd really rather not do. Mobo is an ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3, just for reference. I've read this RAM has stability problems unless the voltage is specifically set to 1.5V. I'm also running a Sandybridge chipset, though (2700k) and I know Intel was poo-pooing 1600mhz/1.5v DRAM on Sandy for a while, going so far as to void warranties. How safe is it to force the frequency to 1600mhz, or am I better off leaving well enough alone at this point?
HOODedAssault
It was 1.65v dram that was the complaint. U should be able to just enable xmp profile and it will set frequency, voltage and timing automatically. 1.5v ram was the recommended voltage for sandy.
