n7plus1
I installed this cooler last evening but wasn't a fan of the direction of the 90° right angle micro usb to usb header cable they chose. It goes in the opposite direction of what i would really like. Now, I have a spare 90° right angle cable that does go in the direction i would like but its a good bit thinner. I'm cautious of using it due to the pump draw wiring gauge limitations...but the sata power should be taking care of that anyway...the most that would be on this line is 5v..everything else is just data. Will i run into any issues running a thinner cable for this to the USB header?
c-attack
No, that shouldn't be an issue and data flow won't matter either. If you start to get intermittent USB drops, that would be something to check. Cheap cables get everyone once in a while.
