9Tek Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Hello All, I have researched and read that my current motherboard a Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5 supports 16GB of memory. I have used the Corsair memory configurator and it only shows up to 8GB, so is there a 16GB compatible kit that somebody can recommend for this motherboard? Synthohol Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 the 8 gig kit is the highest capacity that has been certified at listed max speed that Corsair makes. its not suggested recommended or supported to run 2 kits together however some members are willing to sacrifice speed for capacity and run 2 kits at a lower speed for stability. it is your money to gamble if you try just keep in mind there is no recourse if the 2 kits dont play together at all at any speed. good luck!
