niklot1981
The problem with the new AX 860i power due to the fact that the motherboard will not start (MAXIMUS IV EXTREME) All cables are connected, the power supply when connected to the mains and switch on the Reset items 1 gives the power to the board (the motherboard LEDs indicate all ready). Unfortunately, after pressing START on the motherboard, the power supply does not respond ... The "Self Button" on the power supply does not respond, the light did not dawn on either the red or green ... After pressing START hear "Tick" in the power supply, but nothing happens ... Please help
peanutz94
The "Self Button" on the power supply does not respond, the light did not dawn on either the red or green ... The self test has to be run with NO cables attached to it other than the power cable. So if you have this hooked to the Mb it will fail. You could also try the paperclip test found in the stickys under "brief functionality test" http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991 Makes ure you have a couple of case fans and maybe an old HDD attatched so it senses enough of a load to start. If the PSu starts this way then there is some issue with the MB.

peanutz94
Then I would have that unit replaced. Try returning it to your reseller first, and if they can not or will not help you then use the link on the left to request an RMA.
