OnO
Hi, im writing today about the Vengeance Rgb Pro Light enhancement kit. I Have some regular old vengeance lpx ram and some other stuff from (other company) and i'd like to spice it up a bit. I went to the store to find a possible upgrade and found the kit above, I've seen videos where people take normal ram, take off the heat spreader and put on a new RGB one, I wanted to know if you could do something like that with this one, since I would like to keep my system mostly if not all controlled through the icue software
JonKrmr
No, it will not work as the LEDs used for the RGB are mounted directly on the memory PCB. The PCB also has the MCU chip on it used to communicate the RGB data from the PCB\module to the system so that ICue or other Corsair SDK enabled app can program the colors\pattern. The third parting memory RGB heat spreader kits have a wire\plug that comes off them so the RGB LEDs in them can be controlled by your motherboard RGB header.
