nowcontrol
I bought and installed this SSD in November 2015 the computer is used daily for music and internet but the SSD has nothing stored else than the OS (Win10) and essential apps. In the last month or so the computer has been taking noticeably longer to boot up and shut down and the system is a bit sluggish for the first few minutes after windows login. I ran the ATTO benchmark yesterday and again today and it seems that the drives write performance has failed severely. I doubt that this can be fixed by any means available to me and assume that the drive is in fact dying on me. WHAT DO??
Toasted
Try a different SATA data port and cable. Double check and make sure your UEFI SATA mode is set to AHCI. You may need to secure erase the drive as that would usually "restore" the drive to fatory defaults.
nowcontrol
All checked and done, still the same results. :(: I had a spare HyperX Fury 120GB laying around so i used that to restore a windows image onto so that i could secure wipe the NeutronXT. I took less than 15 minutes to get windows up and running on the HyperX Fury, but when it came to restoring windows onto the NeutronXT it took an hour and 20 minutes which is absurd for an SSD. :sigh!: Anyway i think i'm done with this SSD now, it does not work to spec anymore, i have wiped it again and shall be submitting a ticket for RMA sometime this week. And for comparison, this is the result from the Kingston SSD... I like it like that. :D:
