skullmanx
Hello, new here. In the process of building a new PC and planning on getting the Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard. I want 16GB ram, and was wondering if this here DIMM: CMZ8GX3M1A1600C9 is compatible with the Sabertooth Z77, as it is not listed in the qualified vendor list. I intended to buy two of them so they run in dual channel, but not being on that list kinda makes me to go for CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 bundle, as they're certified. I was thinking i may be upgrading in the future with 2 more 8gb dimms, if i went for the uncertified version. Any advice? Thank you
Wired
It's never recommended to mix kits. It's always best to go with one kit with all of the memory that you need.
skullmanx
Damn, i guess i'll be going for the 4x4 16gb kit in the end. I just like to be future proof, but in this case i'll make an exception. Thank you for the fast response.
