tomlando
Hello. I have an HP Pavilion p6-2378: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03548976&cc=ad&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002#N68 that I am converting to an HTPC. I have ordered a Sapphire HD7850 video card that requires a 500 watt PSU. I ordered and recieved a Corsair CX500 from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027 On the motherboard, next to the CPU there is a square 4 pin socket that the stock PSU had a plug for. The new PSU does not have a 4 Pin plug. Is there a fix for this or did I order the wrong PSU? Thank you.
Synthohol
there should be a plug that looks like this http://www2.corsair.com/_images/products/eps-atx12v_8-4_pin.jpg it should break apart into 2x4 plugs IIRC.
tomlando
OK...Never mind. I read the the 8pin CPU plug separates into 2 4 pin units
