bbbl67
I received a warning email through my HD Sentinel monitoring utility that said that my Corsair Force 3 SSD was in imminent danger of failing, and that I should being immediate preparations for backing stuff up on it and get ready for a replacement. The message showed that the S.M.A.R.T. attribute #1 Raw Read Error Rate had crossed a threshold. It rated the health of the drive at 0%, whereas previously it was at 99%! I immediately logged into the system in question to check it out directly. By the time I logged it, it was a bit over 5 minutes after the warnings came in, I saw that HD Sentinel was no longer showing the warning message, and the health of the SSD had gone straight back up to 99% again. HD Sentinel's logs no longer showed the error messages either. I contacted the HD Sentinel developers, and they suggested that it might be a good idea to replace the drive anyways, but I'm not sure about that. Other than this one incident, this drive has been rock-solid for me, and obviously I don't want to incur a big expense if it's unnecessary. I'm posting the current SMART report for the SSD for you to look at. Do you think it's necessary to replace this drive? S.M.A.R.T. ------------ No. Attribute Thre.. Toasted
I'd suggest you regularly backup your drive and if you do encounter SSD related issues, then consider replacing the drive.
