no spare USB 8 pin connector on the Motherboard

I have recently installed an H100i Pro on my pc, I wanted to replace the stock fan.

The installation has been performed and the AIO is working fine, I run a number of stress test and the CPU has been performing at max clock without thermal throttling, remaining always around 60 degrees Celsius.

However, I have a problem: on the motherboard there are no spare USB 8 pin connectors so I have been unable to connect the USB cable. The other connectors (SATA an TACH CPU) are ok.

What should I do? I understand that iCUE won't be able to alter the pump setting, but other than that the pump is working fine.

Thanks,

Paolo

Hi Buddy

You could use a normal usb cable and run it out to your Rear IO dude... I have done this my self in the past

Or you could look at the NZXT internal Usb Hub..

Thanks a lot :-)

I have just added and routed an USB cable to an external USB port and iCUE immediately picked up the device.

On the long term I'll buy an NZXT (they look handy) but for the time being the cable will do.

Cheers,

Paolo
