ruben7
Will a CX400w power cord work with a VX550w? What are the risks, and where can I buy one that works? In Canada.
robbiq
do you mean the one that goes from the psu to the wall outlet? I think those things are universal, if it fits it works.
ruben7
Yeah those. I used a 400w cord on a 550w psu and the PSU sometimes randomly reboots with no warning, thought it could be the cord, guess it's defective.

If the cable was defective the PSU wouldn't power on at all. There is a fuse in those cables that would blow if the amperage was exceeded. But as long as it's rated for 10 amps it should be just fine. What are the risks, and where can I buy one that works? In Canada. Any computer or electronics store should have them.
