ozman320
Hi I tried to use the actual Corsair customer service website to ask this, but it is not letting me create an account. I have an i9-9900K with the H100i Pro Cooler, and its continually going on 100 degrees, even when I edit the Cooler in iCUE to be extreme. Is there something wrong with the cooler or does the cpu just run that hot? I haven't done anything to overclock the cpu yet and its still going that hot. Can I do anything to fix it? I included pictures of iCUE and LINK 4.
c-attack
Your coolant temperature is only 31C, so there isn’t a cooler malfunction. It is likely one of two things. Either the cold plate and cpu are not in good contact (high jumpy cpu temps all the time, even at idle) or you need to do the standard motherboard tweaks to get your Vcore under control (cpu temps only high when st 100%). Most boards are not going to let you run a synthetic stress test straight out of the box. Everything about the bios is designed to make the worst cpu stable and that usually means piling on the Vcore. I cannot see your peak, but that would be something to find out.
