stubass
Hi, First off specs; CPU: 5820k MOBO: Rampage V Extreme GPU: Asus GTX980 Strix SSD: 1 x 128GB plextor m5pro I am having troubles with mu AX1200i shutting down in the first few seconds of Firestrike extreme first test. The GPU is benched with Ln2... The whole system shuts down and reboots when i push the volts and clocks on the card and try to run benches. I belive this is OCP on the PSU kicking in.. would you agree?? also how to remady this???
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted March 4, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 4, 2015 I would not agree. Not without further testing. You can turn off the OCP in Link. And you don't have to have Link running in order to keep OCP off as long as the PSU continues to receive AC power. So I would fire up Link, turn the OCP off and/or turn the OCP up for each of your PCIe/CPU power connectors and then exit Link before doing your Firestrike again. A similar scenario is outlined here: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2014/may/setting-up-ocp-on-the-ax1500i

stubass
There is no problem just turning off OCP on all outputs? Like the do on the page you showed me... Plus going to also try distributing the load with these. http://www.systemagnostic.com/wp-uploads/2013/02/2x6pin-to-8pin-PCIe.jpg
stubass
just thought i would update you, It turned out after much testing that it was not the PSU rather an unstable system due to a bad RAM slot that was causing the shutdowns so all sorted now.
