macheath
Just installed an F3 120Gb SSD, worked fine for 3 days. Now it hangs for a couple of seconds at AHCI init then displays SMART error and asks for the system disk, insert system disk and it tries to re-install Win7. SMART is enabled in the BIOS disabling it makes no difference. I cannot access the system at all with the SSD installed, so re-installed the old SATA drive all works fine if rather more slowly and shows no errors. As far as I can see I have the latest BIOS and MOBO drivers, F3 firmware is 1.3. Any suggestions
Toasted
-Try reset the BIOS by shorting the jumpers on the motherboard.
macheath
I really didnt think clearing the BIOS would work but it has. Nearly as good as "have you switched it off then on again" Thanks for the suggestion.
