headshotu
hi guys, i'm new i'm planning on getting the twinx2048-3200c2 for my abit IS7 (865PE) i just want to know: 1. if this memory is tough enough to enable the "performance mode" on my board or not (my old kXXXXXXn hyperX can enable it at 2-3-2-5 1T 2.75V) 2. the lowest possible latency it can possibily go(anybody go beyond the rated 2-3-3-6 ?) BTW: i dont OC(cant OC much on my 3.2EE anyway:D: ) thanks a bunch!
headshotu
hmmm...the corsair's latency is barely 2-3-3-6 at 2.75V, and the oxz is 2-3-2-5 at only 2.6V, does this mean... oxz is better??
Wired
Not comparing apples and oranges. Closest thing Corsair has is TwinX2048-3500LL (2-3-2-6), 438 Mhz though. Corsair can only tell you what they're rated at, and can't guarantee anything else. The TwinX2048-3200C2 may do 2-3-2-5, but no one can guarantee it. headshotu
my motherboard will force the memory's voltage to 2.75V when performace mode is turned on, and the default voltage for this is 2.75V, does that mean it can activate the performance mode for sure? Wired
No. Just set the timings manually. CAS Latency (tCL): 2 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 Row Precharge (tRP): 3 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6 Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts All other settings to defaults.
