Norberto HD
Hello everyone, I just bought my new corsair carbide 500r, I'm finishing connecting all the components of my pc, and when I went to connect the front fans and side fan to my power supply I saw that the cable is 4 pin molex very thin, It said to have a standard (26awg, 300v), but this type of cable supports only 0.37 amp, and the three fans that consume about 0.75amp, so it may burn the front panel, my question is, if there will be some problem in connecting my power supply that thin wire, without affecting the front panel.? as I read in another post that the dead front panel for this reason. attached a picture of the cable. i speak spanish, i am sorry for my English
peanutz94
There is no problem connecting your fans to that connector. It's not going to melt. If it was an issue there would be a few thousand complaints by now. as I read in another post that the dead front panel for this reason. No, , that would be impossible. A dead I/o panel is it's own issue. The two are not even connected. The molex connector powers the fan controller and nothing else.
