big_half Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 Hi Guys, (I'm new to this sort of thing.) I have a 120GB Force 3 SSD showing revision 1.2 in the BIOS and Corsair Field Updater Tool. When I attempt to update the firmware following the guide to the letter, I run into trouble when I click proceed, after the warning. The program seems to freeze up the PC, no HDD light showing, and the updater seems to do nothing. It will allow the exit button to be pressed, but only closes after a ~20sec think. When closed and re-opened the update tool shows revision 1.2 still. I'm worried if I keep messing with this I'll brick the drive. Any advice? Toasted Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 Is the drive plugged into a INTEL SATA port? Have you tried running the updater as admin? Try a different SATA port and SATA data cable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
