This store sell N75SF with 16GB ram

http://www.gentechpc.com/config.asp?config_id=N75SF-DH71

Is it compatible or not?

Hmm, it may be best to contact ASUS and ask the if it will run with 8 gig sticks. Your link does suggest other wise. But it is different from what i found.

Heres the product listing on ASUS's site and they also only list 8 gigs as being the max supported capacity of 8 gigs

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N75SF/#specifications

Maybe RamGuy will have a definite answer.

Got answer from ASUS today and they wrote:

Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.

My name is Daniel and it's my pleasure to help you with your problem.

We're sorry to hear that you are having issues with your product.

The maximum RAM on your unit N75SF are 8GB, and that you already got installed on your Notebook. So the answer are, No, that is not possible.

We hope we have been of assistance.

I want to know if 8GBX2 CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9 are compatible with ASUS N75SF

Hi!

you must to use everest(or aida64) software to detect if you can use 2x8GB ram module...probably yes ;):

you must go (on AIDA64) in "motherboard -> chipset" tab and you'll know if you can use 16 or 8GB for max!

I tell you this thing because, also for my Asus M50 laptop, asus specify that it was be able to support only 4GB for max...false!:D:

After I read this post, I could not stop myself from trying this out myself. On an Asus N75SF laptop I installed the trail verson of AIDA64. Followed motherboard -> chipset, and it showed me: 16GB!

Because prices are so low nowadays, I decided to give it a go. With the current prices, my loss would be minimal if it did not work, compared to the happiness i would get if it did work!

I went to the store and picked up a set of 2x8GB (sku: CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9).

Plugged it in, and the laptop recognized the 16GB without a problem!

Thanks for the info!
